It’s only been a couple of months since the release of No Man’s Sky’s last named update, NEXT, but it looks like the folks at Hello Games have been hard at work since then, as they’ve just announced the imminent release of a new major content update known as The Abyss. Announced in a short post on the game’s official site, The Abyss is something of an enigma right now — all we know for sure is that “it focuses on some of the eerier elements of No Man’s Sky,” as befits an update slated to go live right around Halloween.
