The Heavy Hitters: Capital Ships & Large Hulls

The “Big Three” of this update—the Kraken, Ironclad, and Galaxy—are finally seeing the light at the end of the production tunnel.

  • Drake Kraken: Currently in active whitebox development. The team is focusing on the internal layout to ensure the “flying city” feel is preserved while maintaining performance.
  • Drake Ironclad: This massive armored freighter is nearing its greybox review. The Command Module (which functions similarly to the Caterpillar’s detachable cockpit) has already undergone its first playable review.
  • RSI Galaxy: Now in pre-production. This ship is slated to be the headliner for IAE 2956 (November 2026), serving as the center-piece of RSI’s modular ship lineup.

📦 Cargo and Alien Logistics

For those who prefer the trade lanes, two long-awaited ships are making major strides:

  • MISC Hull B: Has officially advanced into the greybox phase. As the “Goldilocks” of the Hull series, it’s designed to be the largest ship capable of landing on planets while fully loaded.
  • Gatac Railen: The Xi’an cargo hauler has entered full production. CIG is using this ship to further define the “alien tech” aesthetic, focusing on its unique gravitational cargo pods and rotating engine housing.

🛠️ The “14 Vehicles” & Pipeline Updates

The “14 vehicles” mentioned refers to a mix of new variants, unannounced projects, and “Gold Standard” passes currently moving through the pipeline. Key updates include:

  • Aegis Hammerhead: Undergoing a Gold Standard refinement to bring its interior and component housing up to the standards required for the upcoming Engineering gameplay.
  • Unannounced Vehicles: There are currently five unannounced ships/vehicles in the pipeline, ranging from small ground craft to mid-sized multi-crew ships.
  • Variant Progress: Work continues on specialized versions of existing hulls, including the Ironclad Assault and new variants for the Mirai Guardian.
