A database error and subsequent attempts to fix it have left Wurm Online’s loyalty program in a state of disrepair.

Lead Developer Rolf Janssen admits that his attempts to set right the problem led to the database losing information on premium accounts and their associated rewards such as spyglasses. Some players failed to receive their monthly gifts, while others got extra.

Janssen said that he’s always considered premium rewards a “side bonus” for subscribers but not part of the paid package. “I took the decision that we move on now with this loss as the awards have been handed out for almost all current premium accounts and it should work in the future,” he concluded. “Since we no longer have the aggregated payment data available we can’t offer reimbursements for new cases after I close this thread.”
